The Hong Kong Ladies Open Pair tournament is an annual event jointly organized by the Hong Kong Contract Bridge Association and the Ladies Recreation Club.  The names of the winning pair will be engraved on the main trophy, The T. S. Chie Cup, donated by Mrs. Shirley Chang, in memory of her late father.

In the WBF delegates meeting in Wuhan, there was no confirmation on the date / venue for next year's World Bridge Games.

As a result, the Council has decided to postpone the World Bridge Games trial dates.  We will announce the revised trial dates as soon as we received connfirmation from WBF.

Hong Kong teams particpated in the Bermuda Bowl, Venice Cup and d'Orsi Trophy series in the 44th World Team Championships in Wuhan, China.  Team members are:

Bermuda Bowl: Vincent Fung (NPC), Leo Cheung (Coach), Derek Zen, Samuel Wan, KF Mak, WK Lai, Baron Ng, Tony Lau

Venice Cup: Leo Cheung (NPC), Christine Booth, Pearlie Chan, Flora Wong, Charmian Koo, Joyce Tung, Crystal Tang

d'Orsi Trophy: Suleiman Bux (NPC), Vincent Li, Edmund Tse, Karic Chiu, Peter Chun, Roger Ling, Peter Yeung

Hong Kong team ranked 11/24 in the Bermuda Bowl, 17/24 in the Venice Cup and 20/24 in the d'Orsi Trophy.
