After reviewed the situation in the society, the Council has decided to continue the Open League Class A on 10 August as scheduled. The starting time of the first match will be 2: 00 pm as scheduled before.

However, we will keep observe the situation. Thank you for your attention.

Due to the recent social activities and unexpected violence behaviour, in case a postponement / cancellation of match is required, we would try to announce it via HKCBA website / Facebook as soon as we can.

Players are also recommended to check the match status before tournament starts.

As the Council has been notified that Kelly Commercial Building will be closed tomorrow, we have decided to cancel the event tomorrow (3/8).  The changes will be as follows:

2/8 (Fri) Qualifying Rounds 3 to 5

3/8 (Sat) NO EVENT

13/8 (Tue) Qualifying Rounds 6 to 8

16/8 (Fri) Qualifying Rounds 9 to 11

18/8 (Sun) Semi-Final

The Final will be re-arranged later.

The pre-registration for Open Teams has been closed and there are 12 teams this year.  According to tournament format, not all dates reserved will be used for the event.  The schedule has been re-arranged as follows:

Qualifying Rounds (11 rounds of 10 boards) will be played in the same week: 30 July (20 boards), 2 August (30 boards), 3 August (60 boards).

Semi-Final will be played on 13 and 16 August as scheduled (48 boards).  Final will be played on 18 August as scheduled (64 boards)

Please note that it is an event with Trial Points.  Also, there are no events on 27 July, 6 August and 9 August.
